The Ultimate Tool for Touchups: Merit Pro Three Inch Foam Brush
Merit Pro Three Inch Foam Brush is made of a high density foam on a wooden handle with a flat sash. This foam brush is perfect for getting into those hard to reach areas while painting. It’s also great for getting in and around the perimeter of a room when finishing a hardwood floor with a water-based wood floor finish.
Have you found yourself trying to get into those hard to reach corners during your painting project? Are your paintbrush bristles not quite getting into the areas you would like? The Merit Pro’s Three Inch Foam Brush is your solution. This foam brush is perfect for those angular spaces that a regular bristle brush struggles to cover.
Using the Merit Pro’s Three Inch Foam Brush is similar to using a regular paintbrush. Dip the foam brush into your paint, primer, or wood finish and let the liquid soak on to the brush. Slowly brush off the excess against the inside of the container so that no liquid is dripping off the brush. This foam brush holds a hefty amount of liquid, so having a bit more on it than a regular brush is okay. For a neat finish with the Merit Pro’s Three Inch Foam Brush, slowly it along the flat angle side or dab it into those hard to reach corners to create a smooth line. Or as we here at Adjectives like to call it, “Cutting”.
When applying a primer or finish, be careful with the application process. Normally you would go with the grain your project piece to ensure that your primer and or finish adhere fluidly and your topcoat does not run.
Tip:When finish applying your top coat, try to look at your piece from different angles and notice how the light hits it. This will show you any spots you may have missed.
The Merit Pro’s Three Inch Foam Brush is easily disposable. For reuse, apply a small application of mineral spirits until the foam brush is clean.
